Just a few Xbox screenshots and newsbits for this evening. It's been awhile since I've seen a thread full of screenshots, so I'm posting one tonight. Now for some newsbits:
-NFL 2k2 Ships for Xbox, Gamespot reviews it here.
-Team Xbox has posted some Xbox news nuggets from the CES show this week. They also have a very long video (in streaming format) that sounds interesting, but I haven't watched it yet. Click here to read the article and watch the video at Team Xbox.
*update 01-09-2002: Click here to download a 13MB .asf video of just the Xbox portion of the CES video.
-In more news from the CES, RCA has announced a new line of televisions which have an exclusive connection said to offer superior quality from the Xbox's component video output. Check out their press release to determine whether or not they are blowing smoke up your ass. (I hope it looks better than the RCA set they use in WalMart, which looks pathetic next to Gamecube's Panasonic Tau & PS2's Sony Wega displays.
    (screenshots are coming next)

I'm excited about Brute Force. The trailer of it in the current Official Xbox Magazine disc is nice. Wreckless also looks cool, especially since I love driving games. Sega's getting enough of my money this year, but we'll have to see if Gun Valkryrie is one that I buy...not sure yet.
I've watched part of that video at Team Xbox (in my above post) & the voice communicator thing looks neat. I actually mentioned in a previous thread here that it would be cool to have voice morphing, and...there it is. [IMG]
BTW, I started this thread so other people can post pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar game screenshots, too. Post away, whatever game or platform you like. Just try not to get too carried away for us 56k people.

On the NFL 2K2 tip, this makes me SICK to my stomach:
    XBox Review
    PS2 Review
    Hmmm, check that out.
IDENTICAL REVIEWS. Im sick of people treating the systems like they are the same. I know the reviews are free, but ONE of these games MIGHT have 5.1 sound and one of these games MIGHT have wide screen, and ONE of these games MIGHT have HD, BUT WE'LL NEVER KNOW BECAUSE THE IDIOT GAME REVIEWERS ARE SO FUCKING STUPID THEY REFUSE TO REVIEW THESE GAMES ON HOME THEATERS. THEY REVIEW THEM ON GODDAMNED COMPUTER MONITORS.
OK. End rant. I will be putting up a FULL review of this game, from a HOME THEATER perspective tomorrow 30 minutes after I get the game. I have DD/DTS and a 61" HDTV, I will give gory details, and compare it to PS2 Madden.

I look forward to your review Bergan, and according to what I read it doesn't seem to be coming for the GC, which is very dissapointing for me as the NBA titles are [IMG]

Outlaw Golf looks like it could be fun.

Brute Force looks really impressive. It looks like it is using Anti Aliasing too.

It is eh? That Brute Force beastie looks stunning then.... I do have an X-Box ordered at Amazon, hopefully they will get one to me in time for launch (march 14th). First time in years I'll have ever owned all major consoles.

I just wanted to post on this as there is also an article up on IGN at http://xbox.ign.com/news/40766.html that discusses Brute Force and the Game Communicator headset thing... [IMG] I would also say the MS's GameVoice for the PC is hands-down the best voice comm that I have ever used on PC - and I have tried Battlefield and Roger Wilco etc. A type of Voice Mod is supported on the GameVoice as well and it is pretty cool although really just a "novelty" feature.

While the Brute Force pics that are floating around the net (IGN etc) are most likely 'in-game', they aren't actual XBox real-time rendered pics, yet. The real ingame graphix are going to look close to that, but not quite as good. The nurbs tesselation is going to be a magnitude or two lower and the anti-aliasing (if any) is going to use a LOT less samples.

Here's another nudie & preview link. BTW Camp, I picked that term up from the videogame news site http://www.voodooextreme.com
Hmm, that url says it's from the PS2 version. Gamespot also has a nice hands-on preview of the game that is worth reading. Surprisingly, they have removed the controller movements for spraypainting that were featured in the previous game. Also, since the Xbox isn't online yet, I don't think you will be able to add your own pornography "art" like you could with the Dreamcast version. [IMG] Long Live Dreamcast!*
