I didn't buy an XBox last week since I was too busy playing MGS2. Of the launch games for the XBox, the only one that intereted me was Halo. I'll probably pick up an XBox before Xmas but what other must have games are coming out in the near future. I don't mean 6 months away, I mean a month or two. I don't wanna end up buying the XBox and then have it sitting there for months while waiting for the next great thing to come out.
    So what are the games?

Amped just came out, or will be soon, depending on your location. SSX Tricky will be out on 12/18, but those are just two that I have been looking forward to.
Electronics Boutique has a good list of what is coming out soon...

But a lot of those(not all, ie Shenmue) I can play on my PS2........

And now that I've been thinking about it, I'm gonna wait till Halo comes out on the PC.

Two of my most awaited games right now are: Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Project Ego. I'm not sure of when they come out though.

I think Morrowind's supposed to come along for both PC and Xbox early next year.

Project Ego will be a bit of a ways off. I believe it's targeted for October or so, so we've got to wait for that one (it's Xbox-exclusive, btw).

I'm really curious to see how 'The Thing' game turns out.

The demo I have seen looks awesome - especially with the original movie score pumping out.

Of all the X-Box launch games, the only ones I would buy would be DoA3 and Halo. That's $400 for just two games. Next year, Sega has a ton of games coming out, and since they are pretty much Microsoft's main third-party developer, waiting for their games will be worth it.

Until then, I'm just gonna sit back and wait or play my PS2 (or possibly GameCube).

Do you actually own or have seen this on the shelves in your country? I could have sworn I read that it was scrapped altogether and is only coming out on the X-Box. If you have seen/own it for Dreamcast... DAMN YOU! I want to play that sooooo badly!!

And for those with no sense of humor, I say damn you in a jealous rage in jest and not literally.
