What are the chances of the original being released on DVD? My mother has been bugging me for years to get her a copy of this on VHS or DVD, but neither of is is willing to pay the price it goes for on Ebay. The remake, starring Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Tom Welling, Piper Perabo & Hillary Duff, is set to be released Christmas Day. I'd like to at least be able to give my mother the news of a release of the original (possibly bundled with its sequel) for Christmas.

A friend of mine who does work at the studios says that Fox is now working on Cheaper by the Dozen with it s sequel Belles on their Toes for later in the year.

I've started two threads in this section asking for more Clifton Webb films. If it is true about "Cheaper by the Dozen", then by the end of 2003 there will be only two films left on my list to be released, "Stars and Stripes Forever" & "The Man Who Never Was".

I will not watch the remake.
