What an odd looking movie. I don't recall ever hearing about it back then. I wonder if they were trying to recapture the "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" B&W style of retro movie experience?

It never received a release - MGM shelved it after poor test screenings. It's popped up on TCM a few times.

It is an odd film which was why it got buried. It's one of those pictures I hope will at some point get a blu-ray release so more people can finally see it. If we can get stuff like The Other Side of the Wind and The Last Movie...this should be a possibility as well.
