When I was in Las Vegas when they were finishing up filming "oceans eleven" my grandfather came running up to me, yelling "you will never guess who I was playing black jack with for an hour!"

I asked who and he said Matt Damon. My grandfather said he was the nicest and most grounded celebrity he has met, and he has met a few.

He said Matt was talking about fishing with him and just life in general. Matt tipped the dealer $1,000.

I hear he is a nice guy. Can't say much for Ben affleck however.

Matt and Ben were in Pittsburgh filming Dogma a few years back. While here, they treated everyone really nice. Signing autographs, taking pictures with the fans and shaking hands, they were both very accomodating and friendly.

If only they were good actors!

I've heard many reports that both Affleck and Damon are nice, down to earth guys. Remember, if it wasn't for Kevin Smith showing Miramax the Good Will Hunting script, the both of them wouldn't be in the same place they are in now. [IMG]

I think they are both good actors, although Affleck's choices lately [IMG]
Affleck as O'Bannion in Dazed and Confused is excellent.
Damon in Ripley was wonderful I thought.

I liked Damon in The Rainmaker and find him agreeable in just about everything he is in. He isn't a heavyweight, but as Todd's grandfather said, he is just a human, guy next door, goodfella type. I like that quality in an actor.

    Seth,

Yeah, Damon in Ripley was excellent. Also liked him in Good Will.

Rounders was my favorite of his as well as one of my favorite films of the past few years (I'll enjoy anything with good card playing or gambling in it). Maybe seeing as your grandfather met him at a blackjack table he has a certain liking for this stuff.

Those that think Afleck is a bad actor should watch his cameos in Skakespeare In Love and Boiler Room.I also think he did a fine job in Chasing Amy.
