DMI HOT REWARD PREVIEW -- July 10, 2024

Disney Moana Canvas Tote Bag - HOT REWARD 625 pts

450355088_1024363142383810_425269827384539600_n.jpg

Assuming this is the same they used to give out at DMC as Bonus Freebie -- medium canvas, good construction, 13 wid x12 ht x 6 depth

Not huge, but a a decent size for carrying a few books, school supplies, notebooks. Not going to work for a serious grocery visit, but certainly fine for a walking visit to a store

I redeemed some of the tote bags on DMI. I really dislike using plastic bags from grocery stores and prefer reusable things. (My husband doesn't like having a "bag of bags," so keeping the grocery store bags isn't an option.) So I think this is a decent compromise, mostly because I do a lot of the grocery shopping.

We're moving in the next week and had the rewards sent to our new house vs. the old one. We take possession of the new house next Wednesday and I'm betting (aka gambling) that DMI won't ship/they won't be delivered before Wednesday.

Aaah... you're in fFlorida. That makes sense. Extremely few places (other than restaurant and maybe deli takeout/delivery) up here in NYC still provide plastic bags at all -- most shops up here (at least in NYC) just sell you something reusable or maybe provide paper bag in some cases.

Yep, and as of next week, we'll be in North Carolina. I've always used reusable bags, but haven't done it here in FL.

Disney is re-releasing The Lion King in 1,300 theaters this weekend. I just can't wait to see it again.

However, there is no indication on the website if they will be offering rewards points for ticket stubs. I think they should, but obviously I'm not in charge.

I wonder if Disney will be accepting ticket stubs for Deadpool and Wolverine for points?

Their usual policy is not to do so for R-rated films, but they've been offering rewards related to the movie, so they are using. the program to promote it.

They also offer Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes rewards but didn't take tickets for that, even. though that one is PG-13. I would have liked to get points for that; I saw it twice.

Disney isn't even offering points for tickets from the re-release of The Lion King. I checked again after seeing it and still nothing even though the movie is now playing. At least Deadpool has a rationale because it is rated R, but there's no reason at all The Lion King should be excluded from points eligibility. The Lion King is clearly quintessential Disney.

The guy I spoke with said that not all Disney releases are eligible for points and right now the only one is Inside Out 2. He wasn't able to actually give me a reason as to why The Lion King wasn't eligible. I pointed out that The Lion King has been eligible for points in the past (I've gotten points for it every time a new version of it has come out since the rewards program existed.) He said he would pass along the feedback and was very nice about it but couldn't actually do anything else. Obviously, it's not his choice as to whether it is eligible or not.

I think I got one of those scarfs with a DMC membership - looks *very* familiar. If it's the same one, it's quite flimsy/thin.

I really wish DMI would filter out the Canadian rewards in the Movies At Home section. It’s not that difficult if a user is logged in. Nearly half of the movies added recently are for Canadian members only.
