In my experience, Disney ships rewards via USPS and USPS package delivery is extremely backed up in certain areas. I am experiencing two to three week delays on everything shipped to me via USPS. Tracking numbers have been irrelevant because they’re not updating tracking accurately, and lots of packages are simply sitting at distribution hubs waiting to move to the next place, where they’ll get stuck waiting again. Everything eventually shows up.

Interesting how many holiday themed movies were added after the deadline for shipping had passed.

Yeah. Plus, the deadline didn't end up meaning anything due to how overwhelmed the post office is this year with increased business and less staffing due to COVID.

December 8 was listed as the last day to order for delivery by Christmas, but my Mulan book was ordered on December 2 and isn't here yet. Of course, this isn't Disney's fault. But it does mean anyone who ordered rewards as gifts probably won't receive them in time for the holiday.

Disney was able to provide me a tracking number for Mulan today. The post office took possession of it on December 8, which during a normal situation would have been long enough ago for me to have received it by now no problem. But COVID has thrown everything out of whack. It was most recently scanned in Denver and is now "in transit." But at least I know it shipped and it is coming. I noticed on my two packages which are still en route, the post office is no longer providing an estimated delivery date. I guess since they've had so many delays, they don't want to provide something that they won't be able to meet.

It's interesting that the Disney+ subscription is only 2000 points when some of the Blu-ray options are around or above that general level. Obviously the benefit of getting physical discs is that you own them, and Disney+ is subject to whatever happens to be available on the service at the same time. But still, it's hard not to look at that and say "Why Is a Disney+ subscription with so much content the same price as one Marvel 4K title?" for example. If you're okay with streaming, there is a lot more content available that way, including most or all of the titles that they are offering for similar point values on disc.

Their hope is that after your 6 month offer is over that you stay on.

Wednesday's new Disney rewards announced on Facebook:

The Hot Reward for 400 points is a poster for Soul. It says "Streaming on Disney+ December 25," so I'm not sure if it would be the full 27x40 theatrical style or not.

Other posters shown for "650-800 points" are for The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special and the teaser poster for Avengers Endgame with the partially dusted "A" logo. I'm guessing that Endgame will probably be the more expensive one.

For particularly big spenders, there is also what appears to be a figurine of Baby Yoda. But it'll cost you as the point value is listed as 18,750. Yes, really. I don't know anyone who has that many points, but if you've been holding out for something big, this might fit that bill. To reach that point value, you'd have to buy 94 4K discs at 200 points each.

In other news, my Mulan book finally arrived in the mail today It is gorgeous and my favorite reward I've ever had. If I hadn't managed to snag one, it would absolutely be worth the $33 that Amazon is asking. If you love the film as much as I do, this is an easy recommend.

NEW REWARDS 12/30/2020 Noon ET

As I understand the Yoda Collectible goes for around a hair under $400. Not my kind of thing, but its not an old movie or poster or FUNKO so for those that like such things it seesm to be a good deal.

I'll probably pick up the SOUL Poster if its Full Sized, Since the Movie was supposed to be a theatrical release I'm guessing it will be 27x40 and I'm expecting it to be 2 sided like the Mandolorian Poster was

I am sure it would be 27x40 if it was a poster for the theatrical release as was previously displayed in movie theaters before the release was shifted to streaming. However, because the poster specifically mentions Disney+ and the Christmas release date, I don't know if they would have bothered pressing a full size theatrical poster for that. Hopefully it is since that's what you want. But it would not surprise me if it was smaller. I loved the film but I'm out of room to put posters so it doesn't affect me either way.

Yeah, that's from Sideshow Collectibles who do alot of high end stuff like that. That little guy looks so good that if he had some movement, you could put him on the show.
