Someone recently told me that my Non-HDtv would be best with the S-video because it would run through the TVs Line Filter that the Componet bypasses. ? . (I've always heard Componet is best??)

I have a JVC 32" D201, w/ one componet in. My Denon receiver has 2 componet ins.

I have my DVD player straight to the TVs Componet for best picture. I have a X-box that I'm wondering if I should run straight to my TV via S-video or run both my DVD and X-box through my receiver to the TV via Componet.

I'm also not sure if running it all through the Denon 1803 degrades the signal. So 1 Componet, 1 S-video, straight to the TV might be best rather than 2 Componet through the Denon?

    Any help would be great,
    Thanks,
    Russ

    Russ,

I wouldn't worry about a degraded picture at all.

If the DVD and XBox has Component out's, I'd send them to receiver and then receiver to TV. Makes things a lot simpler when it comes to switching sources etc.
