Really? Where did you hear this? I love "Noises Off" and have long been awaiting a DVD release. Do you have any details as to release date? Thanks for any info!

The Digital Bits mentioned this a couple of months ago.

There are unfortunately no details, but the release date was said to be some time in May 4, 2004.

Haven't heard any more than this.

I *just* found out about this from a friend of mine tonight. amazon.com and dvdempire.com both list this for a May 4th release and video.com still does not have aspect ratio info yet. While it certainly looks to be a budget title, the majority of them from Disney have been OAR (though some are not anamorphic.)

    Thanks for the update, Mike.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The laserdisc was widescreen, so at the worst maybe it will be a non-anamporphic widescreen DVD if they just decide to re-use the LD transfer.

I hope they do a new anamorphic transfer and I'd love a commentary from Bogdanovich, but somehow I doubt they'll add a commentary.

That's funny, I just saw this movie for the first time yesterday (2/14/04) on regular tv. I would definately pick this one up once available, but I hope that it is widescreen. When the actors were moving all about the stage, I was getting a little dizzy with the camera panning back and forth at a fast pace. This is the main reason that I choose widescreen.
