I noticed my receiver doesn't seem to have a clock when you turn it off. Are all receivers like this?

Why do minisystems have a clock and timer function but not receivers? Or is it just mine (Sony DE985)?

    Sacha,

I can't think of one receiver that has a clock display when you turn it off. Alot of mini-systems do because you can program them to wake you up to music, sort of like an alarm clock. Do you have a VCR? Doesn't that have a clock that stays on when you power it down?

Yes my VCR does have a clock, but the main problem is that you can't set a timer on the receiver for example.

Anyway I never really used the timers on my minisystems.
