    From Activision's press release:

"Return to Castle Wolfenstein’s Xbox multiplayer features allows players to challenge up to seven other gamers online utilizing Xbox Live’s matchmaking capabilities for intense, multiplayer warfare; engage in co-operative play through Xbox-system linked connections; or battle in two-player action through split-screen mode. Gamers can also look forward to new weaponry, an advanced target control system and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound capabilities."

Unless "battle in two-player action" means playing the game in co-op, then this previously announced feature no longer exists, which is the only reason I was really looking forward to it in the first place. Damn.

my assumption would be that they meant "and 2 players can 'battle each other' in split-screen mode"
but then again, thats just me assuming [IMG]

Before the game comes out we'll know for sure. Unless someone can clarify this right now, you can still find out the truth before it's release.
