Mad Monster Party was released by Rankin/Bass in 1967. The story was about a retiring Dr. Frankenstein, all the monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, the Creature, Wolfman, etc...) decide to throw a party in his honor. This was a fun classic in the style of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. Apparently all attempts to get the original 35mm print from Sony Home entertainment have failed and the DVD will not be coming any time soon. This is a shame, it was such an original, fun film.

I loved all the Rankin-Bass holiday specials, this was one of our favorites. Picked it up for my brother on VHS a couple years back and have seen it since at Suncoast video.
And Scooter, aside from the catfight with Jessica, the Phyllis Diller cackle is one of the highlights!
    Ah ha ha haaaa! [IMG]
