No-frills DVDs?

    Recently somebody tried to tell me about DVD's for true videophiles that don't have all the extra features, menus, etc. so that they can use less compression and get a better picture. He said you just pop it in an it plays - with a better look.

    Is anyone familiar with this? What are they called? Where are they sold?

    Sounds like Columbia's "Superbit" line. Should be found at any major electronics retailer (limited to select Columbia/TriStar titles only).
