Is No Doubt's Rock Steady CD copy-protected?

I'm attempting to burn a compilation cd of some of my favorite pop songs and when Roxio's EZCD burner asks me to insert "Rock Steady", the copying just stops and EZCD freezes up. Did anyone else out there have any trouble copying tracks off of "Rock Steady"?

    I'd appreciated any feedback.

    Thanks

I don't know that I'd put much stock in that Web site. I own a lot of the CDs on the list and have either burned individual tracks or the entire discs so I have copies at my office. Some of them have data tracks on them that makes burning them trickier and people will mistakenly label them as copy-protected because they don't know their way around the data tracks (Garbage's "Beautiful Garbage" is a good example).

I haven't tried the No Doubt CD, but I've never had anything but trouble with EZ CD Creator. Uninstalling it from my system and switching to Nero was the best thing I ever did. You also might try Exact Audio Copy, which is free (just search for it on Google).

I've ripped that album to MP3s using EAC on two computers with no errors. I don't think it's copy protected.

    I've made copies of the CD too. I don't think it's copy-protected.

The second time around was successful. All is good in the world again.

Take a look at the program Clone CD if you have problems burning a particular disc audio or data. Where software from Roxio chokes, this program has proved to be flawless when making a backup of a disc. It is a no frills program which simply makes disc images to be ripped.

It is available as shareware with a 30 day trial, and you probably can get it off of most file sharing networks.
