Irens,
Unfortunatly this is a well known problem with the
DVP S-360 model. Sony is well aware of this problem
and I even beleive there is a class action lawsuit
pending against them. Sony will fix and update the
DVD Player but they charge you (and I beleive it's
a flat rate of $65.00)
You can go over to www.audioreview.com and read the
reviews on this player, there is some great information
posted in the reviews.
I had a DVP S-360 and I personaly never experianced this
problem and I also recomended this player to two other
people who bought them. None of us have experiance this
problem. The 2 other person(s) don't play that many DVD's
per se.. I played some 200+ DVD's in mine with no problems.
I decided to sell it for $100.00 and got the new Panasonic
CV51 5 Disk DVD Carousel and couldn't be more happy.
I was wondering if this problem has continued onto the new generation, specifically the 650V? I have had a Sony 300 for over three years and have had no problems. I am interested in upgrading, mainly because the 300 does not do DTS. I guess I will look at other brands as well.
