Let’s dig into No Country for Old Men. Since their debut film Blood Simple (1984), brothers Joel and Ethan Coen have made their mark in Hollywood with films that carry their signature quirky yet playful style. This style is evident in films like Raising Arizona (1987), Miller’s Crossing (1990), Barton Fink (1991), Fargo (1996) and The Big Lebowski (1998). However, despite these successes, the Academy Award – save for their Best Original Screenplay win for Fargo – proved mostly elusive for the brothers; No Country for Old Men changed all of that. Previously released on DVD and Blu-ray by both Miramax and Paramount; Criterion has licensed the movie for its UHD Blu-ray debut.
