Haven't a review on this one yet. I rented it and enjoyed it much more than I was supposed to...

Considering that it's a Terry Gilliam film, I'm suprised no one have taken a shot at it yet...

ehh, saw it in the theater and was majorly disappointed so I'm not going to get it on dvd. Hopefully someone will at least post a review of the quality of the disc for the Gilliam completists but I was expecting a lot more from him. You didn't hear a lot about the film when it was released theatricaly either and I have a feeling that's probably the reason. Gilliam is a very beloved director and what's that saying? if you can't say anything nice...

    Hey guys,

got this over Christmas vacation when I got hit with the flu so I missed the street date (sorry!). Would you guys like for me to review it even though it's already out? It would be my pleasure and my apologies for missing the street date on this one...the Holidays, coupled with the flu, really put me out of comission for a few weeks this year!

p.s. this title is announced for Blu-ray and at that time I certainly plan to do an extensive AV comparison with the DVD and BD versions...

    David,

If you have time, I'd like to see a review. I'm pretty curious about this one, being a big Gilliam fan (but not of *all* of his work). Also, your reviews are always fun to read! [IMG]

A late review is better than none for those of us who like to pick through the pre-viewed rack at the video store. [IMG]

There's a couple of reviews at DVDTalk:
    triple-dubya.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=19287
    triple-dubya.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=19274

    Dang link rules! [IMG]

I saw it the other day...it was okay, but not Gilliam good! I'm glad I didn't do a blind buy.

I'd love to read your review too, David. Just because it's not early doesn't mean its not appreciated.

Looking forward to your Brothers Grimm review, David. Also, did you ever do a Toy Story 2 review? I think that might've been lost due to your illness too.

Me too! I'd like to see David's thoughts on this release, was thinking the other day about there not being a review up yet, so glad somebody started a posse.

Will get the review up today or tomorrow.

A quickly on AV...picture is very good...none of the horrid heavy HF filtering we normally see with "Disney DVDs"...it's detailed and film-like although black-level is disappointingly "gray"...

The movie...was "ok" but clearly a missed opportunity. If they had just changed a few minor things (like the corny music) it could have been so much better.
