OKay.. So Im looking into using one of these two units:

    Denon AVR-3802

    or

    Kenwood VR-5900

History Tells me that the Denon is a HANDS DOWN winner here... Just wanting to make sure though before I commit. (And the Cost of the units isn't a factor, so One being More or less than the other doesn't enter into it.)

    Thanks!

I hate to post this. because I am not 100% sure...

I think Kenwood is belly up or going belly up offcially. That certainly would have me looking at the Denon.

if i am not mistaken, the Kenwood decodes 7.1 but has only 5 built in amps whereas the Denon has 7 amps.

... meaning that the Kenwood requires a preamp for the remaining two channels...?

    Another vote for the Denon...[IMG]

    Derek,

means the Kenwood requires a stereo power amp for the remaining 2 channels

This is a no brainer as the title suggests. Go with the Denon.

Okay.. thanks for the Votes... I already had the Denon, but Came across a chance at the Kenwood for under $400 (No Remote) and was wondering what I should have done... Almost picked up the Kenwood for my Master bedroom.. but thought it would be overkill. =)
