Title was too long for me to type out in the subject, heh.
But the short version, "Digital TV, a Cringley Crash course".
This should be recorded and broadcast in every blockbuster like store for public education [IMG].

It basically explains the advantages of widescreen/digital TV. It also has a good explination between the differences of 4X3 and 16X9, with a breif history included.

Wait! I have seen that--it's a half-hour PBS primer on the brave new world of digital television. It first aired in 1999, I think.
Wow. Digital television. HDTV. Wonder if anybody here has heard of that stuff? [IMG]
