I’m kind of out of the loop with how these things work because I’m not a big gamer, but I’ve encountered an issue and don’t know if there’s a solution. I’ve googled a bunch and haven’t found any real answers.
So a couple years ago, I (I mean, ahem, Santa Claus) got my son a Nintendo Switch. I set it all up, was prompted to create a Nintendo account and then we created “users” so we could all have play with our own profiles for game-progress reasons.
Fast forward to today, I bought myself a Switch Lite for portable play, and when I tried to link my account, it seems I can ONLY link my son’s profile and not mine. It seems his profile was the one “linked” to the Nintendo account when I created it and there seems to be no way for me to “unlink” his profile from the Nintendo account (so I can then link my own profile to my Nintendo account and then link my new Lite to my existing user profile).
As I said, I googled around and they gave instructions on how to do it, but when actually following the directions there doesn’t seem to be options when on the Nintendo website to remove my sons profile.
Anyone knows if there’s anything I can do that I’m missing?
