    It's my new favourite DVD.

The best image quality I've seen, the most amazing 5.1 mix in the world and some great easter eggs which i'll put below so I don't spoil it for people.

    Buy this disc folks.

Reptile (live) , Starfuckers and The Beautiful People (live with marilyn manson) The Day The World Went Away (unrelased video in 5.1!!!!) and a few television commercials

I've been looking forward to this one for a long time. Which version did you get?

    it's released on January 22.

I got the Dolby Digital Version.

Yes it was shot by mini-dv cameras but they are top of the range and it looks better than any concert I've ever seen!

Bonus! I was at the show at Madison Square Garden when Manson made his surprise appearance. As I've been waiting anxiously for the release of "And All That Could Have Been", the only downer in my mind was that the DVD wouldn't include the Manson appearance. No more worries! Thank you NIN. It was a long wait, but one well worth it. All indications are this is going to be a KICK-ASS DVD.

I received the DTS version yesterday. Mike is right, the picture and sound are incredible (although I can't compare with the DD version but it shouldn't be very different anyway).

I was surprised by the picture although it was shot on mini-dv. It has a real quality to it, but without sacrificing this "bootleg" feeling wanted by Reznor. He didn't want it to look like a bon jovi concert and he succeeded. The editing is also very good, it almost makes you feel like you're actually in the crowd (and believe me, I know what it's like, I've been at 5 NIN concerts in my life).

But what really impressed me was the sound and the work done on the surround mix. If you're a NIN fan and you have the right equipment, you're gonna be crazy. Those songs have NEVER sounded like this.

I agree. This was one amazing DVD. I've been waiting for a NIN release since I got into DVD and HT, and now I have it. It has more than met my expectations. Any NIN fan and any fan of music must own this DVD as well as the AATCHB CD. Both are incredible and mind blowing. You all owe it to yourselves.

    Mike,

Thanks for the info on the easter eggs. Could you tell me how to access them? Thanks!

    Hi,

unfortunately no one seems to be able to have access them on a normal DVD player.

The best I can offer is this:

    SPOILER!

    title 5 chapter 3 reptile

title 5 chapter 4 the fragile trailer

title 5 chapter 5 things falling apart trailer

title 5 chapter 7 manson footage starting at the end of starfuckers

ttile 5 chapter 9 ninety nine trailer

title 5 chapter 10 the day the world went away video

I'll keep you posted if anyone on the NINternet cracks them!

Why would anyone be surprised that DV can deliver a fantastic picture? The format supports resolution and picture depth just as high as NTSC video and DVD can deliver. Sure, it's possible for someone to screw it up in mastering (not much overhead), but they'd have to be an awful bonehead!

Gosh, maybe I've become an optimist in my old age...

I am kind of reluctant on getting this disc because I am not a big fan of The Fragile. However I really enjoyed all the other NIN albums and to have Manson and Closer in 5.1 I may just have to fork over the money. Hopefully NIN's next album is more to my liking. Trent Reznor did state that many old fans would not like The Fragile.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to access these easter eggs on my DTS copy. Anyone else having trouble?

Do the dts and DD versions have exactly the same content? (except for sound format of course)

I don't live near a store so I can't pick up my copy until Saturday, I can hardly wait (I'll be picking up the 2-disc CD also)
