I have owned this boxed set for over two years now, and I just noticed that there is a white blotch on the side of the boxed with the "bald" Freddy, right under his glove....Does anyone else have a box like this? It doesn't appear to be paint scraped off, but I am still pissed because I don't think I can get a replacement box from New Line.

I got the box set for Christmas, and my box (still) looks fine. Maybe you just got a bad box.

I wouldn't be so upset, but I paid a lot of money for this...and damn if I didn't just notice it. No store would ever take this back now, without a receipt.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to return it anyway if I were you... the Elm St box set is long out of print.

Are you sure Dean? Amazon still has it listed as a "Ships in 24hrs" product, and i've been looking around on some of the other Online Stores and it seems to be in-stock.

That box set is definately NOT out-of-print. I expect that very few B&M stores carry it anymore, but it's still "Active".

And my set is "blotch-free", FWIW.

Here in a New York I see a few sets sitting on virtually every B&M's shelf.

Oh yeah, mine is blotch free as well. Looks like it was your box mate.
