Possibly the most underrated British sit-com ever gets a UK R2 DVD release on March 27th.

    Is there anybody there?

Thought you were talking about the Aaron Spelling T&A extravaganza from 1989 with Kristy Swanson and Kim Ulrich.

    Alas, nothing so highbrow [IMG]

I'm not sure whether the British Nightingales series was ever shown in the States; it's late-night scheduling meant that few people saw it even in Britain. Still, for those who prefer their comedy on the surreal, and slightly anarchic, side, this was top-notch telly.

DVD Times has a review here.

Ps. The correct answer is, of course, there's nobody here but us chickens.

LOL. That was my thought too.

I still remember how upset people were by the final episode. It ended with a cliffhanger, someone got kidnapped or something, and then the show was cancelled.
