I have a Yamaha HTR-5590 reciever. I can't find anything in the manual that tells me where to turn on the night listening or the supression mode. Does this reciever have anything like this? I would like to get the sound at a more even level so I can watch a movie with my baby and not have to turn it down for the loud stuff and turn it up to hear the dialog.

    Thanks

I believe it is called Dynamic Range Compression and it should have it. Note that this sort of feature is only available with digital sources.

Thanks, I saw that in the manual when I was looking for the night mode, but I had no idea what it was. I'll give it a try tonight.
