Oh thank you, thank you, oh no, thank you, oh thats enough...
I would just like to thank my parents who brought me to this planet here; my brother, though annoying he's okay; to my friends in real life you've been great; and to Al gore, who invented the internet for me to come get free porn, and lets me visit great place daily and waste my life away arguing about who's hotter, Rini bell or Mena Suvari.
I'ts been a great 16 years so far, i've gone through alot, and seen some, awful horrible things, but its been cool. Some things i'd like to say, its long, so you don't have to read all of it...
- I remember my first favourite movie... It was HELP! on Laser Disc. Ah it was so cool. We also had yellow submarine, but that movie kinda freaked me out
- I remember when i first started my journey into cars and automobiles. First it was my parents buying me a new HOT WHEELS every weekend. Then it was one of my other fav movies, DAYS OF THUNDER, then model cars, then a Car and Driver subscription. Now, i have my learners lisence, and i can FINALLY DRIVE!
- I remember when i first got into home theater, and found this place. That was great.
- I remember my introduction to the joy of music, my first insturment (piano), my second (bass guitar), and then my Electric guitar.
And so much more.
I remember my first few days on HTF. I signed up, mostly reading, then i was answering questions this way and that. I convinced my dad to get a AV Dolby Digital/DTS reciver, and boom, my HT addiction shot off. After numerous hours tweaking and playing around with settings, im still not satisfied, and i doubt i ever will be. our next upgrade will be a new HD-Ready RPTV, hopefully an Xmas present for the whole family.
Oh, the first time i talked to Matthew Chmiel on ICQ was just... Retarded... We were arguing over which was better, canada or the US.. We argued about that every so often over a couple months, but then 9/11 changed that. Now we just argue over Rini bell and Mena Suvari.
Ohyeah, mena suvari. Boy thats the only thing this forum remembers me by eh? My infamous crush for mena suvari, my signature pic with mena hugging me, and the rivalry between Bell and her. What else am i known for on this forum eh?
Well, this may be a waste of space on the new forum servers, maybe not... i dunno, just wanted to say that... and to show my appreciation for this forum... helped me through a few snags in my life (especially after hours), and yeah... Thanks alot to Ron epstien and Parker Clack. They may not know me as well as some of you, but i just wanna thank them for this forum. :)

Nick, that's one of the nicest posts I've ever read. Sincerely. :)
Happy Birthday, my fellow Vancouverite.
Oh yes...and speaking of Chmiel...he also turned 16 this month apparently...and unbelievably kept quiet about it.
Ah, to be 16 again...
This is the closest thing I could find to a cake:

No, no, no. Our first conversation delt with:
- That girl who you used to like.
- Our HT equpitment.
- What are our intrests.
- Why Honey, I Shrunk The Kids should be on DVD. :)
I have our conversatisons saved, remember that. And there were only one or two US vs. Canada arguments, and they were in April. :D

Hey you're that Mena Suvari guy right?;) Nick I'm almost sure I've already wished you a Happy Birthday, a weird feeling of deja vu here, well since this is your official birthday thread, Happy Birthday Nick!:)

Nick, Happy birthday from another Vancouverite (grew up in good old, tough East Van).

I suppose you asked for DVD's for your birthday?

Happy Birthday, you whippersnapper! Man, seems like only yesterday that I turned 16. That was almost 20 years ago... :frowning:

Nick, I hope to Christ you asked for some freaking DVDs for that paltry collection. A film need should not go unsatiated, people snap from that shit. HAVEN'T YOU SEEN FALLING DOWN?!?
Seriously, you should milk it for all it's worth, you've got about 3 good ones left (for cashing in that is).
And something else wretched to think about...18 cool, 21 cool, after than you have goals like "My car insurance goes down when I turn 25" and "30, halfway to death". Yeah, B'days get pretty bleak in a few years for you. Enjoy the good ones while you can.
Excuse my jealously as I long for days gone by. :)

You're 16! Boy, now I gotta watch my language in posts with you in it. I thought there was an age limit here! ;)
Happy 16th. It only gets better from here.
It's the 21st that it's all downhill from... :D
