Just thought I'd post this because I found it very well-written and educational. Administrators: if this is in the wrong forum or has already been posted, please correct it.

I knew being able to set my speaker distances to the nearest inch in my Aragon Stage One processor would come in handy after all! [IMG]

The article is so poorly written that in places it's incoherent. No evidence is given for the contention that adjustment of delays by sub-millisecond intervals has the slightest value.

    Greg,

Ok, what would you prefer to see in that article?

Measured data, graphing, room layout, etc?

You didn't say you "agreed or disagreed" with what was wrote, so could you explain your incoherent remark, as it leads me to a somewhat confused conculsion of what your saying/thinking. More apt to draw a picture that you belive/think mil-sec have no bearing.

Poorly written I understand, the rest is unclear to me...

I would agree that it's not the best written piece, but at the same time, what is wrote is put in a way that the "basic person" can get a rough idea of what he's speaking to.

    Regards
    Geoff

    Geoff,

In making my two critical comments, I didn't mean to be expressing opinions about what should have been in the article (except better writing) or whether it's really true that sub-millisecond adjustments are useful. I agree that one can get a basic idea of what the author is trying to get across, despite the bad writing.

    well-written by whose standards?

I think the author does a rather poor job of expressing ideas clearly. This article has a lot of jumbled thoughts and run-on sentences.

    Just IMHO.
