The latter issue also affects the release of 1979's The Thing that first aired as part of Fred and Barney Meet the Thing and later Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo.

Toho (Godzilla's trademark owner) also has the complete 1978-79 Godzilla series on its official YouTube page.

Wow, color me surprised that Toho would be promoting the goofy Hanna Barbera series. A fancy blu ray release from Toho would really blow my mind.

I believe this Superstars 10 release is the first Warner Archive material of any Scooby Doo material at all. This might be a new change in philosophy at Warners to put older Scooby material through the archive program, which would be welcomed by me.
I would love a blu-ray release collecting the pre-scrappy Scooby Doo after New Scooby Doo Movies. Although I understand releasing some of it with Blue Falcon on DVD, that material is still core Scooby Doo, and the overall release of it on DVD was either confusing or nonexistent. I would also be happy with a complete Blue Falcon blu-ray that included the episodes that were missing from the DVD. I don't think Blue Falcon has to be joined to the original Scooby episodes it was shown with.

Wait, are you saying there are Blue Falcon episodes that aren't included in the Dynomutt set?

Yes, to be specific, it's those four two-part episodes that aired in 1977 on Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics:
Beastwoman (featuring June Foray as the voice of Beastwoman herself)
The Glob
Madame Ape-Face
Shadowman

Thanks! I have one of the Laff-A-Lympics DVD releases, but it doesn't have any Blue Falcon episodes on it. Wish they would release a complete set.

Separately, I wonder if any more Ruby Spears releases are in the cards. Would love to get Mighty Man and Yukk.

Yes, I would be up for the following R-S titles on DVD/Blu-Ray:
Fangface (season 1 is on iTunes)
Mighty Man and Yukk
Rickety Rocket
The Plastic Man-Baby Plas Super Comedy Show
Goldie Gold and Action Jack

Not just Quick Draw, Ruff and Reddy and Huckleberry Hound's first two seasons, then H-B would have Hoyt Curtin and his musicians would create the underscores, replacing the Capitol Hi-Q library.
There should be a mega collection of Hanna Barbera underscores available by now.

Huckleberry's 3rd season you mean. The 1st two seasons have been released on DVD. If they replaced the original music many fans would boycott the release as we have seen with several other TV shows.

Only the first season (and a couple cartoons from the second on a compilation DVD) has been released unless I really missed something!

Now, some time ago, George Feltenstein said he hasn't given up on getting the early Hanna-Barbera shows released, and in a recent internet interview, Neal Sabin said Huckleberry Hound and Magilla Gorilla are currently being restored and eventually will be shown on Me-TV Toons. I am cautiously optimistic, it would be great to see them restored on Blu-Ray but we'll see how they do with the clearances.

A similar question was asked to Jerry Be k earlier in the year and seemed to imply any issues with clearances might be getting resolved and we’d be seeing the likes of Quick Draw, Huckleberry etc this year. Whether he was talking about on BD, on MeTV Toons or both still stands to be seen.

Yes your right only the 1st season and half of the 2nd season. I was replying to the post that said none of the first two seasons had been released.

I really hope all the rights issues can be solved for the early hannah-Barbara titles. Having Ruff and Reddy, Quickdraw, Huckleberry, Touche Turtle, and all the other programs contained within would be a dream come true!
