Well. Those two are a shock. I never expected those two out of three to come out on DVD. Really. Does this mean (besides the Mork and Mindy cartoon) we might get the Jeannie cartoon?

Really. Any new TV DVD releases is better than no TV DVD releases.

Jeannie and Partridge Family 2020 are owned by Sony
But CBS also has the Harlem Globetrotters and Lassies Rescue Rangers so this makes these two stronger possibilities

these are owned and being released by CBS/Paramount,
not the H-B Archive.

i thought Jeannie was under Copyright/Ownership by Sony?

don't know about Mork & Mindy, but that WAS part of the block of shows with the Fonz and L&S cartoons, so it's possible this might be released later?

on that note: will the dvd of Laverne & Shirley in the Army,
only contain the first 13 episodes? or will it also include the 8 episodes from season 2?
(retitled to L&S with the Fonz)

because there are still 3 episodes missing of season 2.
so it would be awesome if the dvd set actually included all 21 episodes.

These are CBS releases. Who knows what they'll do, although I most want the original Harlem Globetrotters. Jeanie is with Sony.

I should hope so!

Also: the recent reruns of The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang have had their end credit sequences swapped: the season 1 (1980-81) episodes use the combined closing theme for the series' second season (and Laverne & Shirley in the Army's 1st season) with Art Scott credited as senior producer, while the season 2 (1981-82) episodes use the closing sequence correct for season 1 (producer: Don Jurwich).

Season 1 (go to 24:43)

Season 2 (go to 24:26)

My mistake guys. For a moment, I thought the Jeannie cartoon was under Paramount. It's under Sony.

I just ordered the Laverne & Shirley set off MovieZyng with 2 day shipping. They are the only place I have found them so far. The cover art has been changed from what TV Shows on DVD originally posted. The art now shows Fonzie, so I guess the set will contain the season 2 episodes.

Has anyone ever used MovieZyng?

Does anyone know if WB has issued any replacements or released corrected editions of the New Scooby-Doo Movies regarding the Josie audio issue yet?

what was the issue? Just wondering and want to check my DVD (almost complete collection DVD set)
The audio on the Josie episode is out of sync on the blu-ray. I heard it might be correct on the DVD and I have the digital HD and it’s been corrected there.

For what it's worth, The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang had a total of 24 episodes (1980 and 1981), while Laverne & Shirley in the Army had a total of 21 episodes (including 13 from 1981 and the last eight from 1982 that were part of The Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour).

If my instincts are right, the DVDs are broken up this way...

11. Gone with the Wand (1/17/81)
12. Science Friction (1/24/81)

Having it in-hand, Laverne & Shirley is indeed just the first 13 episodes and does not have the remaining 8 with Fonzie. Kind of a bummer because based on the initial cover art with Fonz and Mr. Cool it looks like they had intended to include those episodes. A simple Photoshop resize and layer hide later, and it's just Laverne & Shirley on the cover.
Maybe if these sell well (seriously doubt that, but I can hope) they'll release Mork & Mindy and the remaining L&S 8 episodes. I'm surprised Mork wasn't first out of the gate since it features the voice of Robin Williams.

The only additional one I can see them interested in doing is Flintstones, which is problematic due to the length of the show.
Yes, that one is definitely in need of a Blu-Ray release for its 60th anniversary next year.

I also see what you mean by how difficult it would be as there are 166 episodes across six seasons, and that we would like to see the original commercial breaks included (and to fix up the original end credits for the first two seasons as well as for two or three season 3 episodes), just as they did with the Jetsons Blu-Ray release that was out since this past September.
