I think it's the series itself. CBS owns it and is probably no interested in releasing it, plus there is some original music that probably has rights issues associated with it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harlem_Globetrotters_(TV_series)

I just noticed that GREATEST ADVENTURES: STORIES FROM THE BIBLE - THE COMPLETE SERIES is available for digital download through iTunes, Amazon and other sites. All 13 episodes are included in the set.

I asked Warner Archive about THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS 1970 series and an update on HUCKLEBERRY HOUND.

First GLOBETROTTERS: Unfortunately, we have no rights to this series. Thanks.

Next, HUCKLEBERRY: The clearance issues that have precluded release in years past remain problematic, thereby precluding DVD release at this time. Thanks.

I know that one all too well! I HATE music copyright laws!

Having said that, I still hope the WAC boys will finish up work on the following, be it for DVD or streaming...
    The Adventures of Gulliver (1968)
    The Cattanooga Cats (1969)
    These are the Days (1974-75)
The Great Grape Ape Show (1975)
    The Mumbly Cartoon Show (1976)
C.B. Bears (1977) (all six segments included)
Skatebirds (1977) (all original segments included)
    Yogi's Space Race (1978)
    Jana of the Jungle (1978)
    The New Shmoo (1979)
    Trollkins (1981)
Jokebook (1982) (only 3 out of 7 episodes aired!)
    Wildfire (1986)

    Ruby-Spears:
    Fangface (1978-80)
    Mighty Man and Yukk! (1979-80)
    Rickety Rocket (1979-80)
The Plastic Man/Baby Plas Super Comedy Show (with Baby Plas, Plastic Family and the traditional Plastic Man segments) (1980-81)
Goldie Gold and Action Jack (1981)
    Turbo Teen (1984)

I'd like this series as well, but if it were possible I'd be very happy with Shake, Rattle And Roll just by themselves.

I think the surprise is that Warner Brothers has no rights at all to the 1970 Globetrotter series so a DVD release has to come from another studio. We had guessed at that situation but it good to get an “official” word about it.

That cartoon was later packaged in the Heyyy, It's the King! half-hour syndicated package, also with Undercover Elephant. I'd love for a DVD release, be it the full 1-hour series or, as you said, these two half-hour packages.

The same is also said for these H-B/Paramount joint-ventures (all based on the Happy Days TV series)...
The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang (1980-81)
Laverne & Shirley in the Army (1981)
    The Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour (1982-83)

These titles I want so bad. You'd think with the celebrity voices, the studio that does own them would see sales potential and release them. Especially the Mork & Mindy and Laverne & Shirley series.

I think the only way to get The Banana Splits would be if Shout Factory released it, whatever hold up WB can't clear/doesn't want to pay the money to clear said hold up would be the best thing at this point. Plus Shout will remaster the series and give us tons of features as well.

And before they release The New Shmoo to either DVD or streaming (I prefer both), they should find the special "Sing Along with the Shmoo" bumpers that were present on the original NBC run!

Where did those half-hour versions run? I never heard about them until reading about them on the internet.

I did recently run across something about "C.B. Bears" having been repeated on "Captain Kangaroo" as late as 1982.

I'd be okay with this. At least they would be available.

I'd be glad to be a consultant on this. Otherwise, who will tell them for instance, that the one-inch video version of show #1 (#K-01 REV) is missing the first few minutes of the show, replaced with clips from other shows. And stuff like that.
