Newbie - Replace Bose system (1 Viewer)

HI I have a Lifestyle System 28. Yesterday's technology! I would like to keep the speakers (they are pre-wired into the house) but want to buy Denon AVR 1912 receiver to connect Blu-Ray, All version DVD player etc. Problem is the Acustimas unit seems to be the 'marshalling' centre with all Speaker connected to it & just a single multi-core cable from the Bose control centre to it. So it's easy to connect the Front paIr,Back pair centre straight in to the Denon but would I need a new sub? Any suggestions>

Hi William, Do yourself a favor and search here (and other HT sites) for BOSE. After a little education come back and if you still want to keep the BOSE, someone may be able to help. Just an FYI in case you decide to do it anyway, hooking the BOSE directly to any other receiver could damage the receiver. The BOSE are made to go with the 'bass module'.
