Whats the best way to connect speakers to the binding posts.

Bare wire, Banana plugs, etc. Sorry for such a basic question but everything I've owned up till now has just had the old spring clips.

If you tend to swap receivers in and out on a frequent basis, banana plugs are about the most efficient implementation to use. However, as the previous poster stated, connecting the bare wires is also fine - provided you don't need to rearrange these connections on a frequent basis. There are others who also prefer the bare wire route, but they will "tin" the ends of the wire with solder to keep the wires together and make a good connection.

If you use 12 awg or larger; Houston we have problems. It can be done direct with a little work and several checks that they are really tight. 6/8 awg banana plugs are large enough to allow you to insert the wire from the back or side for clearance behind your rcvr and ease of installation. Go to parts express.com and check out the 091-1260 24k gold plugs. I bought these and they fit great.[IMG]
