Newb questoion, how to hook the speaker wire to the binding post (1 Viewer)

Laughter to a minimum please! Anyway this is my first reciever ever so.....First I just stuck the speaker wire into the back of the post. Hmm just falls out.

Then I unscrew it and notice there is a hole through the middle of the post, so I assume I just stick it through the hole then screw on the post tight??

please any help would be great, or a link to pictures :b

If you're using bare wire then you're 100% correct. The hole that you tried connected the wire the first time was for bannana plugs...

Yes...that's it unless you want to use banana plugs for easier connecting and reconnecting. Short of banana plugs just run the end of the wire through the hole and tighten it down.
