ok here is the deal i live in an apartment i have hard wood floors.. no carpet anywhere,, the layout of the apartment living room is such that running wire for left rear surround is not a problem but right rear will be... my living room and dinning room are together,, in a room shaped like a rectangle... the living room is on the left side of the room and the dinning on the right,,,

i have a problem with hiding wires and my g/f hates even seeing the wires for the main channels.. need to know if there are any good wireless speakers out there that i could use.. if they require a outlet i have one on either side of the wall which is no problem... im not too familiar with the wireless speakers,, an my concern is not to have total matching spekers,, since i mainly listne to music i would like to just hear the lil i am missing with having my rear channels... can anyone help me stay out of the dog house.... and one that will meet g/f approval

Jaeton,

Just wait till she's your wife.... It only gets worse from
here on out...

My suggestion would be to say that the HT is important to
you and that you should not have to comprimise it for her
because you do not make her comprimise on the things that
she enjoys (do you?). Tell her that the both of you can
work together to find a creative way to hide the wires but
going with Wireless Speakers will NOT give you the satisfaction
you deserve. Besides that, hiding the power cord for a pair
of wireless speakers is much harder than hiding speaker
wires..

You can buy flat wire that adhere's to the wall and is paintable.
Companies like Acoustic Research and Monster Cable make a
speaker wire like this. Check www.partsexpress.com for flat
wire.

And if you use regular wire you can always cover it up by
careful placement of mouldings on the walls and such.
