I'd rather suck in a little pride then make some dumb mistakes.
Last night I won a direct from HK refurbed HK 630. This is my very first "real" HT. I am graduating from years of HTIB.
Keeping that in mind, inevitably, I am going to need to buy some new speakers. Now, I am used to having the HTIB's having everything precut and ready to go.
It's my understanding that I will need to buy my own speaker cable, cut the wire myself, and get it ready to be connected. I have never done any of this before whatsoever.
So, I'd appreciate it, if someone has the time, to be given very anal and specific instructions, and pictures would be a nice bonus.
I have to budget myself, so, I am going to be stuck with the Sony HT500 HTIB's speakers for another month or two. I know those aren't worth much, but will they function at all, or will the HK unit just completely devastate them, even if I don't "blast" it?
Thanks for your patience.
