Any chance they will release the New York Giants Super Bowl in Blu-ray? It was televised in hi-def so who wants SD?

This is an area that could really be pretty big for Blu-ray. If my teams games were offered in Blu I would be all over it.

The other thing you can do & I've done this myself is to google a High Def upload of the game...download it, then rip it. Got several Texas A&M football games and they look & sound pretty dang good.

Good luck.

I used to buy up the Superbowl DVDs, but stopped when broadcasting in high def became the norm, but the DVDs continued to be released in 4x3. I would definitely buy the Superbowl DVDs on Blu-ray.

Is there any widescreen NFL home video releases?
Thanks.

Great game, would make for a great NFL HDM debut!

I was just hoping they'd do an anamorphic SD release, but that was only 4x3. They haven't released it on Blu-ray yet so I doubt they will. Unless the Giants repeat and they release a two-pack.

Unfortunately the only sports titles I've seen on HDM are titles from the WWE.

Seeing as how they want $12.5k for a ripoff license and $500 a game for my Dad's seats I'm not sure I'm a giants fan any more. F those guys.

That crappy NFL set is a real mess, non 16x9 would only make sense if it
was 16mm ,like the NFL Films footage. But to release games that were
shot in 16x9 HD ,as compressed edited analoge 4:3 is a insane

Well...I own the 2004 World Series box set--which was broadcast in 16:9 HD and it was released in SD 4:3. I think all the WS sets have been.
