Is anybody making any this year?

I don't really have any this year. 2002 was a pretty darn fine year. Maybe to drink less, or lay off the ganja.

Well I quit smoking around Six months ago, so now I going to try and lose some weight. Around Twenty Five to Fifty pound sounds nice.

I made only one resolution last year, to lose some weight.

I dropped 80 lbs, which was a lot more then my doctor originally suggested. She couldn't believe how much I had lost when I went in for my physical.

I was surprised how easy it was to lose the weight and so far it’s been fairly easy to keep it off.

This year I have a slew of resolutions, all of which I know I can keep if I’m disciplined.

    How'd ya do it?

My New Years Resolution is to have a better outlook on life which will be tough with everything going on in the world at the moment.

Get back into shape. My goals are to get my six pack back, bench my body weight (145lbs), and run the mile again in under 7:30.

Damn! Anders beat me to it. [IMG] I could've sworn that the comics that I read weren't released online for at least a week after it was released in newspapers. Oh well, perhaps the release schedule changed a while back...

This may sound bad, but it really isn't (at least not for me)...
In 2002 I resolved to be a bigger asshole. I don't mean by mistreating people, but rather by outwardly reacting like one when people would give me grief.
As a result, in the past year I have experienced some change and/or improvments in different aspects of my life that I never expected.
Surprisingly, it's been a very satisfying experience!

So, for 2003 I've resolved to be an even bigger asshole... [IMG]
... and of course to continue a healthy lifestyle of going to the gym and eating right.

    Nathan,
    Sure, I can try... [IMG]
Basically, it's just a question of not being a "nice guy" and turning the other cheek when someone steps on your foot. It's also a question of being more assertive and less tolerant of other people who might think they've got some kind of advantage over you. Making yourself heard when someone says something you don't agree with, and making it clear what you think of them in the process!
It's a question of having confidence in yourself, believing in your abilities, and standing up for what you want. Multiplied by 10. [IMG]
Just think of the stereotypical person who "says it like it is" and doesn't give a crap if people get offended. Oh yeah, and take any and all politically correct notions, crumple them up, and throw them out the window.
Be advised though that this kind of behaviour has a time and place... ie. NOT AT WORK (unless you're in management or want to keep your job! [IMG] ).
It's difficult to articulate... but just try and picture any one of those assholes in high school who used to get all the hot girls.
    Moe.

You have some good points there Moe. However, I think you are a bit hard on yourself. I would consider it to be more "assertive". That way you are still and "ass", but you aren't an "asshole". Just my two cents...
