I am looking for a new TV that will fit into an existing entertainment center. The maximum width of the TV can only be 41". I have been looking at the following models:

    (1) Sony Bravia XBR 32" or 40" LCD Flat Panel
    (2) Sony Wega 42" LCD projection
    (3) Samsung 42" DLP projection

Can anyone give me feedback and opinions on these, or any other similar models? What are the pros/cons of each technology? I would love to get the 40" Sony XBR Flat Panel but it comes with a high cost: $3300. Is it worth it?

Thanks again for all of the help!
    James

Size being nearly equal, I'd go for the flat panel. I have a 32" LCD flat panel and I love it (and it's the cheap Westinghouse). I still watch movies on my RPTV because it's considerably bigger, but the picture on my LCD TV is excellent (1366x768)

What are the lifetimes of each? Will I be looking for a new TV in 3 years? Do the pixels on the flat panels go out? What about the bulbs on the projection TV's?
