    Hey,
I'm very interested in projectors. I'd like to use one to make a movie room but i'm not sure where to start. My price range would probably be about 1000 dollars new or used. Could you folks direct me towards a few good companys to look at and maybe give me a quick overview of what to look for? What makes one better than another etc. Thanks so much.

You can get a nice projector(new) for $1,000 or less. You need to view a DLP and LCD projector in person to see which you prefer. If DLP "rainbows" bother you, you'll need to get an LCD. The most popular DLP projector in your price range is the Infocus 4805, then the Optoma H31. You can learn everything you need to know about projectors, including reviews, at Projectorcentral.com.
