I've never had a home theater system before, just used the TV sound. I recently moved into a new apartment, and I figured it was time for a change. I've done a lot of reading the last couple of days and learned a lot. Now I need a little help putting all the pieces together.
My living room is only 12x13 feet. I'm on the first floor with 1 neighbor on the side and 1 above.
I will primarily use the system for TV/Movies and some gaming. I have a PS3, Cable HD-DVR, and PC that I want to connect (all have HDMI).
I'd like to keep cost to within $700-900. I think I want to get the Denon AVR-1712 when it comes out, but I'm open to suggestions if there's something else that does what I want for cheaper.
For speakers, I'm leaning towards Jamo S606 or A340. The S606 would be more expensive (especially if i add a sub), but would probably be better overall. But I worry whether the A340 would perform better at lower volume required in an appartment setting.
