Hello, I have a simple one i hope, is it worth buying a full speaker package for HT or better to buy just seperates?

Hello Kevin. Nice to see you at the HTF.

How much money are you spending on this speaker package and which ones are you considering? Generally, if you buy them seperately, you may have to be more concerned with the matching of the speakers (in tonal quality) particularly the front and centre speakers so that pans from left to centre to right maintain the same tone. Generally packages may have matched speakers (not always though).

as long as you buy from the same manufacturer and with the same model line, you should be okay.

i think most manufacturers tend to use the same drivers for their series, so that way they'll be timbre-matched?

obviously, if you buy a ht package, then you'll know for *sure* that they're matched.

Well right now i have 2 B&W 500 series speakers, but thats all I have at the moment.
