My Velodyne 810 subwoofer needs a new 8" front driver as it has been making noises during certain frequencies.

This time I went to Parts Express and ordered a new VIFA 8" sub driver (M22WR-09) from them for $79.

I understand VIFA is considered an audiophile-type speaker company.

Hopefully this will do the job.

You can't just plop in any driver into an enclosure and expect it to work well. You may want to post this over in the DIY/advanced section (along with the internal box dimensions) to see if the Vifa will work...

Thanks, I'll check further with Velodyne.

The VIFA I ordered is supposed to work well with subwoofers so I'll give it a shot if Velodyne concurs.

Kurt at Velodyne does suggest that I should purchase their bass driver if I want to match exact specs on the 810.

So I will call their Parts Dept. and see if they can ship me a new 8" driver for the sub.
