New sony 985 DVD Changer anyone? (1 Viewer)

I was just curious if anyone has any information about the new Sony DVD changer that is coming out (september/october? just a guess).

I heard it was a 400 disc changer and progressive scan. Retails for around $400 i think.

I can't find any info on it anywhere on the net.

I need to check some of this later today, I am pretty sure this is what it was...I'll post exact model numbers and price when I find out for sure. But any info on it at all would be appreciated...Thanks.

Kevin, the 'CX985V was discussed here about a week ago. Do a search here for "DVP-CX985V" and something should come up. A link to Sony's press release with pictures was included in a recent thread.

Can the 875 or the new 985 be daisy chained? This would be a dealbreaker if they could not.

Wow I didn't even know about the SACD!

I am not sure about the daisy chain ability - I would assume so. I was thinking of buying 2 of 'em if it can.

I saw it at the HT show and asked, I think he said with CD changers only.
Looks great and I am running out of room!

Does this changer have that stupid "feature" where when you turn it back on, it reloads the last DVD you watched and starts playing it?

Mika, I think it will be some time before we know that, as the players hasn't been released yet.
