I've downloaded the new update but cannot get the player to recognize the .iso file. I have burned several CD's to the exact directions on Samsung's site with the exception of using a different S/W than Nero Burning Rom, but cannot get any of them to load. Please advise anyone.

I did download Nero burn rom as was able to perform the update, but thank you anyways..........

Any idea when Samsung might provide what this last update improved upon?

Does it matter what you name the disc?

(Edit) No, it doesn't. I burned the iso file, but it didn't extract. Problem solved.

After doing the FW upgrade, I popped in a BD-RE (burned disc). For the first time, the player recognized the disc (previously, only a Panasonic BD player would play the disc). Everything worked fine, but the image quality is all F'd up. There's red edge artifacting all over the frame, at lease when using HDMI.

Update: When the firmware disc is ejected from the player, do a manual power down and reboot of the player, then put in a movie disc. This cleared my red artifacting problem. The player looks like it powers down upon eject, but apparently it's not enough.
