From Elusive Disc's weekly newsletter, pre-orders are available for the following Sony SACDs:
Johnny Cash Silver - Sony Single Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD $17.99
Mark O'Conner In Full Swing - Sony Single Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD $17.99
Stevie Ray Vaughan Couldn't Stand the Weather - Sony Single Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD $17.99
Various Artists Ozzfest: 2002 - Sony Single Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD $17.99
None of these really interest me (already have the stereo version of Couldn't Stand the Weather), but perhaps they interest you. [IMG] I didn't know that the Cash, O'Conner, and Ozzfest: 2002 discs were coming out. Surprise!

OZZFEST!!! Finally a hard rock/metal SACD that I am interested in. I'm really intrigued by this one...I wonder how it sounds...anyone have the redbook version to tell me how the recording was?

Sorry Aerosmith and Stones fans...I don't consider those bands hard rock. Rock and roll, yes...hard rock, no.

    Interesting mix of titles.
I'm surprised it's taking so long to get an SACD of Springsteen's The Rising out the door. You'd think that one would be a no-brainer.
Maybe they're waiting to make it a hybrid. Or even better, release it with the rest of Bruce's catalog.
    Yeah, right. [IMG]

Ryan, that's a hoot! Why would Sony do something stupid like release Born to Run on SACD? [IMG]

Keith, was there any word on the K's Choice "Live" 2-disc set in that newsletter? It looks to be a Sony release. Someone on the Audio Asylum boards mentioned it, but no one can find it online for much less than $40...imported from Belgium, no less, though that does make some sense since the band is from Belgium. [IMG]
Just curious. I'd love to get my hands on this. And, no, it's not listed on CircuitCity.com. [IMG]

I've just starting listening to Johny Cash and only own the Fulsom Prison CD, so I'm interested in Silver. I'll also pick up the Vaughan disc and sell the stereo version on E-Bay.

Of course as soon as we get caught up, they'll announce a SACD release [IMG].
    American Recordings is on American/Sony
    Unchained is Warner
Solitary Man on American (no sony?)
The Man Comes Around is Universal
So I guess it would be SACD & DVD-A. Universal hasn't done Hybrids yet, how about American? Enough to make your head spin [IMG].

American has bounced around a *lot*, but at the moment they're on Universal, and I believe all the back catalog comes with them. As far as I know, all the original issues on other conglomerates went out of print when American switched distributors, and were replaced by versions from the new distributors.
