I just bought the unit 2 days ago. I connected my TV,
Tivo, Satellite, and speakers to the Rotel RSX-1055
unit. It was working but with a couple of issues.

    1) The remote didn't work properly (buttons would
sometimes work, other times it doesn't).

    2) When I turn the volume up to 62, the system would
power off by itself. 60 was loud, but not neighbor complaining loud. This was only after a few minutes of play, not hours.

    3) One time the unit powered off. Now it will not
turn on. The blue power light comes on, turns off,
then turns on again, but there is no display in the
    Front-Panel Display.

I can't get to the OSD because there is no sync to the
    TV.

    Couple of things to note:
-I am fairly competent with this stuff, but by no means an expert so i might have overlooked something
    - the speakers are B&W, right now just l/r/c, no surround or sub
    - the speakers are bi-wired, using bi-wire cable, no banana plugs

Since it's New Years, the dealer is closed, so this forum is my only hope.

    Thanks!

There should be a reload "button" under the sliding cover on the bottom. Use a pen and press and hold that button till it resets.

Have you calibrated the system yet? If so where is reference level? 60 shouldn't be loud enough to shut it off unless something else is wrong.

Hmm that's not right. Have you tried turning on and off the power switch on the back? There's a setting in the menu on how the unit will power on and off but unless you can view the OSD you're not going to be able to change it:b
