New RPTV (1 Viewer)

I am currently looking to buy my first RPTV. I have been scanning the internet for information and there is so much to process. I would like to get a new set before the football season starts. Watch more TV than movies and my HD brodcast will be limited. I was able to get a 0% finance deal for around $2000. I am currently trying to decide between

JVV Av56WP74 and
Panasonic PT-53WX53

Both are selling for $1799. I would appreciate anyone's opinion on which is the better set or advice on any other TVs for around the same price.

I bought a Pioneer SD-53HD5 a couple months ago.No DVI , but for only 200.00 more it's worth a look.Pioneer has a good reputation for their stretch modes and that is a big consideration when watching analog TV. IMO much better than JVC or Panny but many on this forum love Panny.
