With a rollup TV I would be concerned with breakage of the thin data or current carrying paths criss crossing the screen, resulting in gradually increasing numbers of rows or columns of dead pixels.

Does anyone really care about the rollup aspect? It seems to me that resolution, contrast (black level), brightness, color fidelity (in short, PICTURE QUALITY) etc. is FAR more important than the roll-up aspect. First things first!

I would aos rather have a fixed display but imagine if they could do toll up audio as well.

I certainly think it will "come to pass". But, I think it will be in the field of mobile computing not home entertainment.
