The subtitles on the "Filming On-Set" (00:10:59) featurette don't work.

According to my friend, the "Filming On-Set" feature has no subtitles. Hmmmmmm.....

It's in Japanese, and when I check the subtitles, the English subs are on (automatically), but they don't appear.....

According to a post in a BR community I post in on LiveJournal:

The Korean release is encoded for Region 3. The extras appear to be mostly the same as what's offered on the Japanese release of Battle Royale: Special Version, but with much fewer stills in the gallery and just a sampling of the trailers and TV spots.

Also, my copy of the Tartan SV came, but I was kind of disapointed. The transfer is highly compressed and doesn't look as good as the NTSC DVD that Tartan release. Also, nothing on the 2 discs suffers PAL speed-up. Jeff Kleist thinks they just took the NTSC transfers from all the stuff and just encoded it to PAL. Hmmm.
Also, I have No. 008619 of the Tartan SV.

Mark, reports have been that the film feels "slow" to people who know it. This says to me that someone screwed up and used the wrong transfer to make the disc, or the wrong settings. The feature should be 117min in PAL, NOT 121

Also, all the extras should have shorter running times. The running time on the extras 99.9% match up with those on the R2 NTSC disc.

That would make sense. I've got the R3 Korean version coming also. I'll compare the two when I get them.
