since people are saying that New Orleans will never be the same, and won't be rebuilt the same.

Some people never got a chance to see New Orleans personally.
Thankfully I got to see it twice, with pictures.

But I was wondering what are some New Orleans movies that will show what it use to be like, before the storm.

    I can think of one.

Love Song for Bobby Long- which shows some nice areas and old style homes.

any one else think of some New Orleans movies??

It'll be rebuilt, as before. Lots of insurance money headed to LA.

Hard Target is a film I've always liked. Guilty pleasure.

I was down in New Orleans when the Clint Eastwood movie Tightrope was filmed, but I never saw it. I don't know how much of the city is shown.

Keep in mind that the french quarter appears to be one the areas to be 'lightly' hit, and that's probably the most often seen area. So that aspect won't really change all that much.

Ironically, John Grisham's original novel/version of "The Runaway Jury" was set in the Gulf Coast in Mississippi and focused on the tobacco court trials, but it wound up being changed to New Orleans and focusing on arms trafficking for the movie version.

And I've been to New Orleans quite a number of times over the years, the last time in summer 2004.

I have Mardi Gras Carnival (1898) on laser disc, wish a DVD was available.
Zandalee (1991) is highly recommended for a real taste of the Big Easy.

    Yes, I'm going to Hell....I know. :b
