The new Natalie Imbruglia CD came out this week (In England that is) I was gonna import it from there until I read that it was CORRUPTED (The term we use now to describe disks that have been mastered in such a way that computers CD Drives refuse to read them - so can't make MP3s)
Does anyone know when it is coming out in US/Canada? And with it have the same problem?

    It hits store November 27th.
This isn't the first audio CD to encorporate copy protection. The thing is .... it's not fool proof.
REM's latest album, Reveal, has this protection. I have 6 ROM drives in my system. 2 of the 6 were able to encode the entire disk to MP3 format. The other 4 were unable to copy anything from the disk.
So, this protection isn't an issue on certain drives.
BTW, MP3 files from this album have been floating around the net for a couple of weeks already.

Ok good... While my drive sucks for ripping somethimes (In the middle of the last track on Damhnait Doyle's album and Tori's latest, it stops with an ASPI Error - No problem with my Dad's drive)
So I will try here, at work, at my dad's (His DVD-Rom AND his CD-Burner) If nothing works, HMV can always refund.

I'm glad to hear she's got a new cd out. It's about time. Regarding Damhnait Doyle's cd...Wow! It's a shame EMI has dropped her from their label. I really though with more support, this cd could have done more.
Apparantly Tori Amos's Strange Little Girls will be released on DVD-Audio in the near future, although no definitive date has been given.

Yay! Another Doyle fan! I heard about the Drop, I got intersted in her when I read she won 7 ECMA Awards... Altough I had Tatooed on MP3 and MPEG Video for nearly a year... Sometimes the lesser known artists make the best music but the record companies drop them because they don't sell enough... Anyone heard of Alisha's Attic? Told you lesser knowns make better music!!!
Actually most of the time, I describe Damhnait Doyle as a mix between Kim Stockwood and Natalie Imbruglia...
We still don't know when Tori is releasing DVD-Audios? Strange Little Girl will be a start but I hope all her albums make it to DVD-A... Yeah Winter in 96/24... Ahh that must be amazing!
So back to the topic, I'll pick up Nat's new CD on the 27th, hopefully it WON'T be corrupted.
